Haythornthwaite Wines is a boutique Martinborough winery producing finely crafted, small-batch wines. This project focused on elevating the brand and digital presence to better reflect the quality, restraint, and care that defines the wines, creating a refined and cohesive experience across website, cellar door, and physical touchpoints.
Objective
To refine and modernise the Haythornthwaite brand, introduce eCommerce and digital cellar door bookings, and create a calm, premium digital experience that supports direct-to-consumer sales while ensuring consistency across the website, menus, and wine labels.

The brand and website were simplified to emphasise quality and clarity, with eCommerce and digital booking introduced to support direct sales and streamline the cellar door experience, while refreshed menus and labels ensured consistency across all touchpoints.

Haythornthwaite Wines is a boutique Martinborough producer known for finely crafted, small-batch wines. While the wines themselves spoke of quality, the brand and digital presence no longer reflected the standard of the product or the cellar door experience.

Approach

The brand refresh was deliberately subtle. Rather than reinventing the identity, the focus was on clarity, restraint, and confidence, allowing the wines to take centre stage.

A new website was designed to feel calm, considered, and easy to navigate, with eCommerce introduced to enable direct-to-consumer sales for the first time. A digital booking system streamlined cellar door reservations, improving both customer experience and operational efficiency.

Menus and wine labels were refreshed to ensure consistency across all touchpoints, reinforcing a premium, cohesive brand experience.
