Kotare Build

Kotare Build is a family-owned construction company based in the Wairarapa, known locally for high-quality workmanship, attention to detail, and integrity. Led by Jerry, a Wairarapa local of over 18 years, the business has built a strong reputation through word of mouth and repeat clients, delivering new builds, renovations, additions, bathrooms, decks, and fences that stand the test of time.

Despite this strong reputation, Kotare Build had no online presence. Potential clients had no easy way to find the business, view past work, or request a quote online. The goal of this project was to translate Kotare Build’s existing brand and reputation into a professional digital presence that made the business easier to discover, understand, and engage with.

Website design and build

The core of the project was the design and build of a new website that reflected the quality and care Kotare Build brings to every project. The existing brand was already strong, so the focus was on faithfully translating it into a clean, modern website rather than reinventing the identity.

The website was designed to feel calm, professional, and trustworthy, with clear navigation and well-structured content that made it easy for visitors to understand services and experience. A simple, user-friendly quote request function was introduced, allowing potential clients to easily get in touch and request pricing without friction.

Mobile usability was a key consideration, ensuring the site worked seamlessly for users searching on their phones or tablets.

Digital foundations and discoverability

‍

To support discoverability, a Google Business profile was set up and optimised, giving Kotare Build a presence in local search results and on Google Maps. This helped ensure the business could be easily found by people actively searching for building services in the Wairarapa.

Combined with the new website, this created a strong digital foundation that supports enquiries, builds trust, and reflects the professionalism of the business.
